Redesign your thoughts
" A single word has the power to influence the expression of genes
that regulate physical and emotional stress"

(Words Can Change Your Brain, A. Newberg, M.D. & Mark Waldman)
Step 1
Make peace with where you're at right now

You and everything else in this universe are in a constant state of flow and transformation. It is completely normal to reach a point where your self no longer satisfies you and you want to change. It's all part of the adventure!

But first and foremost you must see how precious the current version of you is, because it helps you define who you want to be. Knowing what you don't want helps you shine a light on what you do want.

Step 2
Understand how you came to be
who you are now
It is the words you've been telling yourself, whether aloud or quietly within your mind (tens of thousands of thoughts per day!) which have brought you to where you are now.
A thought that you keep thinking overtime becomes a belief. That belief influences your behaviour. A habit of behaviour creates your personality. Your personality dictates your life. Therefore your current life is simply a reflection of what you have been telling yourself.

...Change your words
Change your life...
Step 3
Create new neural pathways
Replace old thought patterns with new ones. This can be done with affirmations or mantras.
But talking to yourself in front of a mirror might not do anything for you.
The new words you use must reach your subconscious mind to be effective, because that is where most of your beliefs reside*. The subconscious mind can more easily be accessed when you are very relaxed, in an almost drowsy state.

Choose your words carefully, for they are not just a few letters put together. Each word has a specific energy attached to it. Words have the power to make you feel something. Repeated enough times, the feeling becomes your new way of being.

*Please note that a limiting belief can be rooted in the unconscious mind. In this case, a professional hypnotherapist can assist you in dealing with it.

The choice is yours
Changing is simple, and it is as easy as you choose to make it. Once you've trained yourself to cultivate awareness, you can observe the thoughts that pop in to / run through / linger in / invade... your mind. Do they support the change you want to make? If not, you have two options:
The Over and Done With Technique

Notice Thought. Press "delete". The End.
Or
The Snake Charmer Technique

The human mind is generally not a big fan of drastic changes, so... become a snake charmer! Charm your mind into a new way of thinking instead of suddenly imposing the change on it.
